Overview

TradeGecko was a Singapore-based software company founded in 2012. Its cloud platform helped wholesalers, distributors, retailers, and online sellers manage products, inventory, sales orders, purchasing, and fulfillment.

Intuit announced its acquisition of TradeGecko in 2020. The product was subsequently offered as QuickBooks Commerce and integrated with QuickBooks Online. Intuit later discontinued the standalone QuickBooks Commerce service, with access ending after August 31, 2023.

QuickBooks Online still provides separate e-commerce accounting features for selected sales channels. Those features are not the same product as the former QuickBooks Commerce inventory platform.

Key Features

Historical product capabilities included centralized product catalogs, SKU management, stock quantities, inventory locations, purchase orders, sales orders, backorders, stock adjustments, and fulfillment workflows.

The platform supported multi-channel operations through connections with services such as Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and QuickBooks Online. Historical product materials also described a customizable B2B storefront, customer-specific catalogs, price lists, quotes, invoicing, and payment collection.

Reporting features included sales reporting, inventory visibility, customer information, and forecasting tools. The product also had a mobile experience for viewing business information and managing orders. A historical developer API supported integrations, but no current API access is available for the discontinued standalone service.

Pricing

QuickBooks Commerce has no current standalone pricing because Intuit discontinued the product. Historical third-party listings showed plans including Founder at $39 per month and Lite at $99 per month, but those prices are no longer purchasable and should not be treated as current offers.

No active free trial or new-account signup was verified for TradeGecko or QuickBooks Commerce.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Combined inventory, order, purchasing, and wholesale workflows in one cloud application.
  • Supported multi-channel commerce and accounting connections.
  • Included B2B selling tools, customer price lists, and online catalogs.
  • Provided inventory visibility across locations and sales channels.

Cons

  • The standalone product has been discontinued and cannot be newly purchased.
  • Historical users reported occasional crashes, slow loading, and difficult report navigation.
  • Support experiences and integration breadth varied across user reviews.
  • Businesses adopting it today must migrate to another inventory platform or use different QuickBooks Online tools.

Alternatives

Businesses replacing TradeGecko commonly compare inventory and order management platforms such as Cin7 Core, Zoho Inventory, Unleashed, Katana, and Brightpearl. The best option depends on channel coverage, manufacturing requirements, accounting integrations, warehouse complexity, and B2B commerce needs.

Zoho Inventory is a relevant option for smaller multi-channel businesses. Cin7 Core and Unleashed target broader inventory and distribution workflows. Katana is more focused on manufacturing operations, while Brightpearl serves larger retail and wholesale environments.
