Overview
Sophos Intercept X is the former name for Sophos’s business endpoint protection portfolio. Sophos began removing the Intercept X name from its endpoint branding in 2025, with the current baseline product marketed as Sophos Endpoint.
The software protects workstations and servers against malware, ransomware, exploit techniques, malicious traffic and risky applications. Administrators manage policies, alerts, investigations and remediation through Sophos Central, which is evolving into Sophos Fusion.

Intercept X remains a commonly used product name, but Sophos now markets the current endpoint portfolio primarily as Sophos Endpoint. Existing product licenses and documentation may still use Intercept X terminology.
