Google Cloud Storage is a managed object storage service for files and other unstructured data. Users store objects in buckets associated with Google Cloud projects.

The service supports regional, dual-region, multi-region, and zonal locations. It serves application assets, analytics datasets, AI training data, backups, archives, and static websites.

Google Cloud Storage provides browser administration through the Google Cloud console. Developers can also use the Google Cloud CLI, REST APIs, gRPC, Terraform, and language-specific client libraries.

Cloud Storage offers Standard, Nearline, Coldline, and Archive storage classes. These classes address different access patterns, retention periods, and storage-cost requirements.
